Many brides are choosing to have sparklers at their wedding, and everyone wants something different. Overall, it has led to a flurry of different sizes, shapes, and colors of sparkler options from which to choose. Additionally, many brides have turned to decorating sparklers with ribbons to make them look nicer. Not every package would look nice on your tables, so decorations are often necessary.
Previously, brides were limited to packaging designed for the 4th of July and New Year’s. However, manufacturers now package sparklers specifically for weddings in elegant and tasteful boxes. However, if you are like most brides, you are probably interested in something a little more decorative. Let’s face it; bland sparkler boxes scattered around your reception hall doesn’t sound very appealing. Below, you will find a few ways to decorate your 36 inch wedding sparklers using ribbon. Hopefully, it can really enhance their appearance and help them to blend beautifully into your other wedding decorations.
Simple Ribbon Wrap
The easiest and most common way of decorating sparklers with ribbons is to simply tie a section of ribbon around them in a decorative bow. The best size to use for this job is the 36 inch version because they are able to be handled easily. Additionally, they burn for an astonishing 3 1/2 minutes each!
To accomplish a simple ribbon wrap, simply cut a one foot section of your favorite ribbon. Next, carefully tie it approximately 6 inches down from the top of the sparkler. Optionally, you can attach a small tag or card to the ribbons. Be sure it includes the standard information on a wedding invitation such names of the bride and groom, and the wedding date. Additionally, consider posting instructions on how and when to use them at your event.
Displaying Your Ribbon-Wrapped Sparklers
To display your sparklers wrapped in ribbons, you can place them in a large vase in a highly visible area. Optionally, you can place them in a 15” sparkler display bucket and use them as centerpieces. Many couples place a small sign nearby as well. Usually, they weigh it down using dragon tears, glass beads, or another decorative type of rock. That way, it will keep steady while still remaining elegant during your celebration. Additionally, your guests can then grab one as they pass by the display and wait to use them until the appropriate time!
Hanging from Ribbons
A less common, but equally elegant, way to incorporate ribbons into your decorations is to hang sparklers from the ribbons themselves. First, find an area above the entrance tables to string some durable ribbon across. Next, clip your wedding sparklers onto the ribbon using attractive clips or clothespins. Hopefully, the result will be a very functional, yet visually appealing. Plus, it’s a great way to distribute your sparklers. Moreover, it eliminates the time and effort required in wrapping each one individually. Using this method is an excellent way to dress things up with relatively little effort.
Alternatives to Decorating Sparklers with Ribbons
Of course, there are plenty of other ways to decorate your sparklers other than by using ribbon. For instance, you can always use sparkler tags to dress them up instead. Optionally, you can even use ribbon to attach the tags and combine the two! Additionally, you can use spray paint and glitter to enhance their appearance, or even custom print your own decorative sleeves.
Regardless of which method you choose, decorating sparklers with ribbons is a great way to add a custom touch to your wedding. Whichever way you go, your wedding sparklers will certainly benefit from the extra charm and flair that ribbons provide to their appearance.
